2012 Utah Legislative Session Bill Tracker
Last Day of the Session
Rep Kenneth Sumsion (pictured at left) is one of the leaders in the attack on our federal public lands. Sumsion's HB 511 would extend the unconstituional eminent domain authority claimed by the state to Utah's cities and towns to condemn and take public land. Check out HB 511 below, and send a message to protect our public lands.
Are fresh tomatoes, onions and peppers from the farmers' market your favorite fair-weather buys? If so, review Senate Bill 122 below which would provide property tax incentives for urban farming. The bill just passed its final hurdle in the house so you could let Governor Herbert know this is a bill that deserves his signature.
We're also tracking plenty of anti-environmental bills.
HB 70--Air Quality Task Force Message: Because of a lack of funding for legislative task forces, the air quality task force has been rolled into an economic development task force. The combined task force will run for two years. Check it out below.
