Mailing Lists

The Utah Chapter maintains several e-mail mailing lists you may subscribe to.  Subscription is free and open to anyone (except some special, members-only lists). See the Chapter and Group Lists table below for details.

How to Subscribe to a List:

Send an e-mail to:

LISTSERV@LISTS.SIERRACLUB.ORG

Leave the subject blank. In the body, enter:

SUB listname YourFirstName YourLastName

Substitute the name of the list you wish to subscribe to for listname, your real first name for YourFirstName, and your real last name for YourLastName.

For instance, if your name is Jane Doe, and you wish to subscribe to UT-ALERTS, your message body should read:

SUB UT-ALERTS Jane Doe

Soon, you will receive a request for confirmation. Reply to this message with the word OK and send back the e-mail. Following this you will receive a confirmation of your subscription.

How to Unsubscribe from a List:

Send an e-mail to:

LISTSERV@LISTS.SIERRACLUB.ORG

Leave the subject blank. In the body, enter:

SIGNOFF listname

Substitute the name of the list you wish to unsubscribe from for listname.

For instance, if you wish to unsubscribe from UT-ALERTS, your message body should read:

SIGNOFF UT-ALERTS

Chapter and Group Lists

List Name Purpose UT-ALERTS   UT-ALERTS is the new announcement list for sending "alerts" and other news from the Utah Chapter to interested members of the public. Anyone may subscribe. [Top]   UT-CONS-FORUM UT-CONS-FORUM is the new public discussion list for Utah conservation issues. Anyone may subscribe, and any subscriber may post messages. Please use this list for sending articles of interest and other general comments and questions about Utah conservation issues.
