Additional note to outing participants: All members and nonmembers are welcome on any of the chapter or group activities listed. Interested participants should contact the outing leader in advance to inquire as to updates, degree of difficulty, and other outing details. Participants should be prepared for various seasonal weather conditions, temperature changes that occur due to rapid increases/decreases in altitude, and bring enough food, water, and appropriate clothing for the given outing. Fees charged by the Forest Service are expected to be shared by those carpooling to trailheads in US Forest Service areas. Outing leaders reserve the right to turn away anyone who appears unprepared for a scheduled outing. Unless otherwise noted in the description, outings are not suitable for children. Radios and firearms are not welcome on Sierra Club Outings. Dogs are welcome only on outing that are listed as "dog friendly" in the outings description.
Liability waiver policy: In order to participate on one of the Sierra Club's outings, you will need to sign a liability waiver. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among the participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel.
